A miracle

Spring was so beautiful, It was still cold at night but it was still breath taking to see such beauty.
Switzerland was a beautiful place, as I was walking when I came across a Blossom tree it was full of blossom flowers that reminded me of Maria It mad me smile!
Life was absolutely wonderful, and soon I would see my mother and every thing would be OK.I had mad some money in Switzerland sense they did not take Italian money, and with that money I bought a envelope and some paper and a pen.


I started writing a letter to Carlo.





This is my letter.

Dear Carlo,I want you to know I'm no longer so sure you're bad.Perhaps you're only stupid.


And so I'll stop hating you,because I only hate those how are evil.But if you ever use force again and I get to know about it,then I shall hate you again.Will you thank your parents for writing in the paper for me.I saw it.And will you say I've written to you.Tell your parents and Andrea and the tow little one and Maria.Tell Maria first and tell her I saw a tree full of blossoms and it reminded me of her.Thanks.

I finally found a letter-box and sent it to Carlo.After that I had got a lift and I had ask the man how gave me a lift if he could drop me of in Germany.King was not so good at siting still and growling but after I told him to stop he finally stop.
The man had given me 5 Franks.After the man had drop me and King off, I when to go play with King in the Fields and that is when I saw the man how had just cave us a lift go to the gates where a bunch of men where guarding with fully loaded guns.OH NO ! I thought to myself.I took King ans we hid in behind of a Bush not to fare from the men.They found me, but how was that possible.This would be the end if I mad Any sedan movement or even attempt to run they would hear me and see me and then they would soot me and they would have one.
Every thing was over I would never be able to enjoy anything at all now.'God' of green pastures and still water, I am not going to ask for help I am not going to ask for anything,I know you cant make the guards go away for awhile because they wont,But the only thing I am afraid of is pain so don't let the shot her I rather die quickly.King started moving no King! but then I saw what he was Turing to do he was going to take my place.As King started barking and running up to the men something told me to run,so then I started running as fast as I could.As I started running I heard the men's voice's and then I heard the shot the dog was dead.King had sacrificed his life for me.
I was crined as a walk in the village and then I looked properly at on of the posters on a store window and I read 'Denmark' I was finally in Denmark , I had mad it I was in Denmark.I Denmark a lorry-driver had given me I ride to a place called Copenhagen.He said he would take me to wear ever my destination was but I did not have a address so when the lorry-driver was not looking I ran away.I finally found the address I needed it was 758 Strandvejen.The street was very long and every person I ask for direction did not know what I was saying because they did not know English.
And then I finally found it.I knock on the door and then I women opened it, she had eyes just like mine she was smiling I am David I said and then my mother said "David..my son".

Trapped again

The wind was hard on my face, the air was ice cold and the snow was falling hard , I new I could not die I had to continue until I reached Denmark. To see the women Edith Hjorth Fengel I new was my mother.I had found I stable that I staid over night sense I knew I would not be able to sleep in a ditch with the weather.Until on day I was awoken in the stable bye a man. He did not look friendly, I got up as quickly as I could " what ya doing here young thief ,tyring to pick on my farm ,boy" the man said, no sir I just needed a place to sleep I said "excuses said the man, if you wanted a place to sleep all ya had to do was ask" the man said``.

I did not know what to do and then the man said " If you wanna place to sleep you gonna stay here,and to urn your keep ya gonna work for me" I new I would have to do what he said even tho he was evil and cruel .It had been a couple of days, I new the family even tho I could have gone a hole life time without meeting theme or even making eye contact with theme.the youguest of the family was a boy

how loved to bring pain and agony all living thing. The girl was the same age as Maria, was not much better she was rude and treated me like a dirty unimportant animal, the hole family treated me like that.I had also heard them over talking about me, specially the cruel evil mother of the family that had nothing nice to say about me. after I worked for theme in the winter they would bring me to the police in the summer time.

The family always locked me up in the stable at night ,witch did not bother me sense I liked being alone, until a dog came to me, no matter what it did it would not leave me alone. It lay next to me at night and kipped me worm his name was King.King and I had became good friend he would always sleep with me and keep me worm and I would some times pet him, then one evening I told god ' God its me David , why are you doing this, why are you punishing me at this evil farmers house, I have not ask you anything this hole winter, why are you doing this to me God.I'm David.Amen.I had been at the farmers all winter, and I new winter was almost over and I remembered what the farmers wife had said that they where going to turn me in so I new I had to go on and continue.

Good-bye King I said to the dog, you have been veary good to me, but now I have to go bye. I cave Kinga hug around the neck and then Kingn gave me a big wet lick on my check, then I ran out of the stable as fast as I could.There was still paches of snow on the ground but that was not going to stop me from continuing to Dennmak. I started running so fast I triped over my own tow fiets, then I heard some foot steps and then I felt a hot wet filling on my check .It was King 'KING' what are you doing here, it looked like King was going to finish the edventure all the way to Denmak with me.

The story

I had to run away as fare as I could, I had to go fare away from the house. so fare no one had questioned me, I still had money from the couple.I had walk a little until I found myself in a little town. In that town I found a church, a place where you would go pray and talk to god.I walk in the church and then a man came up to me and said `Good day my son ,are you looking for something`` no sir , is that your god sir `no that is Saint Christopher` he said he`s not a god `there is only on god` I thought wrong I new there wear several,``what is your name,my son` the Priest said I`m David `your David, how is you god may it be David?` yes god of green pastures and the still waters.The Priest had invited me to his home to go eat.I had ask the priest if he had a map I could tell me where Switzerland is cause that is where I was going next.After the Priest had sowed me the map I was on the Rod again to Switzerland, every night got colder and colder soon it was going to be winter.I was walking when I came across a news paper, I never really paid attention to new paper but this one I was interested in because when I started reading it I saw my name in it, it was from Maria's family.This is what it said: David.Do not be afraid.We are not searching for you.But we shood be glad if you would come back and live with us.We believe everything you said.I new I could not go back I had to go on I had to continue, anyway I don't think I would ever what to see Carlo's face anymore sense I hated him so much.I took I moment to think 'God' 'God of green pastures and still water thank you for all the help I am not praying because I need help I am praying because I don't what you to help me, thank you for helping me thought life.I am David.Amen. I must had dosed of because when I woke up it was Brod day light I walk a little more because I saw a distance village coming up but when I looked closer I saw a big barricaded wall with solders checking every ones passports I new I could not enter without a passport witch I did not have.I mad my way around the blockage and after awhile I found myself in a village called Mendrisio I was walking in the village when I saw a poster that said Svizzera and every one hear talk Italian and then I remembered Svizzera was Switzerland in Italian, so people in Switzzerland spoke Italian.I walk a Little farther until I found myself on a hill side where I found an orange I sat down until I heart a women's voice from behind me "Hallo boy!" I turned around a Little startled , It was a women , I stood up and said Hello! " Would it be OK if I drew a picture of you!" the women said oh yes where would you like me to sit " right over hear" she said are you any good at drawing pictures " No I am not the best" she retorted.Hours past bye and she was finished she had invited me to her house only if I would help her carry her stuff with her.her house was vary nice not over the top but simple she had ask me to place the cutlery wile she mad a super for us.When she came in the dining room her eyes lite up so bright "Heavens boy where did you learn to place a dinner table to neatly" I like it to be beautiful wile I am eating " Well you are absolutely correct my dear boy" she said .As we ate I ask her more and more question sense I started filling comfortable with her I was really happy when she would answer all my question without hesitating or asking me where I came from,and then one of the questions I had ask her was if there was a king in Dennmak she had said yes and that she was Dannish and her name was Sophie bang.Sophie had told me a store about a family of three a mother Edith her husband and her little boy David and that they where arrested and they killed the father and the little boy but a guard had help the mother escape becaused he loved her but that was many yers ago.

the hardess thing

I have been living in Maria's house for a wile. It was not the house that was difficult living in, it was the people how lived in the house. The house was wonderful all the lovely thing and the bathroom the place wear every one bathed and cleaned themselves. Maria's mother was vary pleased when I told her I liked the bathroom.I liked the people in the house but it was difficult living with them, the kids were nice they taught me how to play sense I had never played with kids before. They also taught me about the glob, they talk about a place where they learnt called school. I taught theme things I new too, even throw I did not know much in the world.The on thing I did not understand about the kids is that they have every thing and they don't like to bath, they don't like learning new thing, but I loved hagging around the kids they always sowed me new things and sowed me new games. The one thing I loved the most of being in a family was eating all together, talking and having lovely delicious meals.

I was one my way to my room when I heard Maria'a parents over talking and me.Maria's mother Elsa thaught that I was a stange boy and thaught I was a bad examble for her children especaly Maria, she also thaught I had the most stranges eyes. She did not like the way I aked like a gron person and how I did not aked like a kid.But Maria's father Giovanni did not agry with her.I new this was bad I had to run away, I had to go as far as I coud.I when up to my room and started paching, I took out a piece of paper and started writing a letter to Maria's parents and Maria.In my letter I had thank them for every thing, I had also writen good bye to maria,I placed the letter on the bed and started walking to the door when I heard a knock on the door. Maria walk in as beautiful as she was I did not know what to say to her.``David`` she said ,Maria I hafe to leave I said "But why" Maria said, because I heard you parents over talking, they dont exacly what me hear, I have to leave to go to Denmark "ok David ,you have to promise me one thing before you leave" she said what is that promise " you promise you will come back and see me again" Maria said as big tear drop from her big beautiful brown eyes. I can not promise anything Maria, but Ive got to go "Good-bye David" good-bye Maria , she gave me a hug and then I walk out of the room without looking back.

This had to one of the hardess things in my life.

Something wonderfull

I was standing out side a store lessening to the most beautiful thing, it was called music. It was soothing and mad me fill so happy ,until I heard I voice from behind me, it was not kind or friendly I turned around to see I boy.He was bigger then me and he had black hair, he grabbed me and threw me to the ground and started yelling " YOU THIEF YOU LITTLE THIEF" and then he started punching me so hart I could barley move, until his punches grue weaker and weaker " why r you not hitting back stupid little boy?" he said , as he punched me again with less force " why boy why r you not using your fists" he said.

I am not using violent like you I don't want to be like you I HATE YOU !and I will always hate you! I said to him. I put my hand to my sore nose ,I was bleeding like crazy " Your a strange boy ,you know" said the boy ,leave me alone? I said and then I ran away. It was hard to run ,all the place's wear the boy had punched me hurt like crazy.I walk for a little bit until I was next to the sea. I wash all my cloth any lay the down to dry off .Then I washed my hair, I wanted every part of me cleaned even tho I did no have lots of soap left. I lay down waiting for my clothing to dry when I heard voice's ,I looked up there was a bunch of kids playing not to far from where I was.

The kids where playing, I had never played or even talk to children before, so I sat there and just stared at the children.

In the group of kids there was tow small boys and a girl , I could not kip my eyes of the girl, she was beautiful her long dark wavy hair tied up with a nice silk red bow, and her beautiful red dress, she was the most beautiful thing I had ever layed eyes on. The three kids where playing a game called Davy Crochett and the Indians, the was the Indians took the girl and locked her up in a shed. Then the good guys would come and save the girl, it looked like such a silly game, I did not want to watch it anymore so I decided to take a nap.

I was woken when I head yelling and crying, and the smell of smoke.The girl was on fire, the tow boys where both there, they had set her on fire by acsedence. With out thinking I ran toward the shed, the girl was siting in a chair tied up I untied her with my knife and took her out of the shed as quickly as I could.Whent the girl and I where out she opened her eyes and looked derectly into mine "How r you" she said I'm David the girl smiled " David" she said, It was so wounderfull to hear her say my name, it sounded like beautiful music to my ears ,and then I smiled to for the first time.I had no notice the group of people around us. The girls parents came, the girls name was Maria and I had just notice her brother was the boy how had beat me up, his name was Carlo.

I dont know haw many times Maria's parents Giovanni and his wife Elsa had thank me for saving there daughter.They had invited me in there house, there house was big and full of wonderfull things, some of those things where nice pictures haging on there walls and silver all around the place.

I am David

I did not like traveling in the dark. I was happy when I saw the sun rising, I started to panic I had no idea where to go. I tried to calm my self so that I could thing , then I remembered the man told me to continue north until I reached a country called Denmark. I finally decided to continue where the man had told me to go, that was north. I was about to continue until I felt a very unpleasant filing in my stomach, I was hungry. I did not have lots of food with me so I walk bye on of the trees that grew big delicious oranges, I set myself bye the tree and eat breakfast before I continued.When I was done my orange I got up to continue north , when I rose up from the rock I had been siting on the compass in my pocket fell.

In rolled down the hill in the ocean where I would never be able to fined it 'OH NO' I thought to myself know I was lost and panicking.OH GOD! I said for the first time in my life, it was one of the many words the men in the camp used.I did not know why I said it, I did not have a god or even a compass.I sat down and thought for a wile until I decided I need a god. Which god to chose was my question, Johannes had told me little about god , there was this one god he had told me about ,his name was David.

This is the moment I new I would chose this god David, the god of green pastures and the still waters.

I looked around to see if anyone was near me and then I said out loud ,'God of green pastures and the still water, I am David , I chose you as my god!.After that I felt so light as if I new where to go so I continued.I had been walking for a wile ,until I found myself in a small town in Italy. I tried to fiend some bread for the rest of the jernney so I would not starve. I was getting ready to leave sense I did not fiend any bread, when a man came out of his car mumbling "my spectacles" I knew spectacles where thing to help people see if they could not.

I approaching the man "I'll help you fiend your spectacles" I said the man turned around and looked at me vary closely and then smiled and said "Thank you very much"! the man and I started looking for his spectacles , I found them and then I gave them back to the man .The man had put on his classes, he took out a coin from his pocket and oferd it to me, but without thinking I said no. "Well if you wont take the money why dont you come and meant my lovely wife" the man said .They had ask me my name and I told them I was David. Then the man`s wife oferd me something called a sandwiches I excepted there ofer and they where veary pleeased. After I was done the sandwich I ask if I could leave ,the lady looked at me and said "yes David you could leave... but before you go I would love to see your smile" I am sorry I replide to her but I dont know how to sorry but I must be going "well ok David you may go" they both said thank you and good-bye as I walk away.

I had been walking for a long time when I came across a town called Naples. I was walking when I saw a women holding something that looked like a mirror , I waited until the women place the mirror back where she sound it , then when she walk away I went up the the mirror and looked in it. I did not look like a exspected I had light brown hair and my eyes where a darck grey. It was Sunday a day where people where always smiling and all the stores where closed .I was laying down on the grass when I heard I car stop, I look up and saw a women coming out of her car.

There car needed petrol. I walk up to the couple and said I could help them and go get some petrol, but the lady and her partner where not so pleased with me , they thaught I would go running of with there petrol can. I finaly got the couple there petrol and continued.

When I woke up the next mornig I was super hungry I was going to walk in a nother small town to fiend some food.I opened my bondul to drink the last few drops of water.To my surprise there was a small box in the end of the bundle I opened it up and there was money in it. More money then I had ever had in my entire life, there was also a letter, I was not the best of reading but I tried to read it, in the letter the couple had apologizeed for there rudness and stupidety.

A new Descovery

I lay silent for hours and hours just staring at the beauty of nature, staring at the sea and the beautiful colours. Then I took out my soap and walk to a small puddle next to the sea.I took my stuff off and put in in the puddle of water. I put a rock on my clothes so the tide would not take my clothes .I started cleaning my clothes with my soap and then I washed my face.I tried to clean all the dirt off ,it was so hard, I took I small sharp stick and tried to clean under my finger nails. then I stuck my head in the water and cleaned my hair until it did not file sticky anymore.

After I was all done cleaning I started walking to fiend a place to hide and sleep. I walk and walk until I found a round. I walk along the road until I saw some house`s, there where beautiful house`s all different colours, pink,yellow and white.I walk across the Rod but then I stop when I ditch stop me from crossing.It was to long to jump across and then I saw a would panel.I tried to use it as a bridge ans it work.I placed the panel on top of the ditch and put two big rocks under it to seaport it . Then I walk over it.

I went in the little cave and unpack my things and then something caught my eyes.It was something Red and yellow both of the colour together where beautiful, I took it in my Hand's it was perfectly round it had a nice sent to it.Then I pocked my finger thru It and tasted it,It tasted nice and sweet.I was not sure if it was even eatable I hated not knowing about anything it was vary frustrating, but the round thing was eatable because I did not fill sick.I took the pillar of the thing and eat. I tried to eat the pillar but it was hard and tasted bad.I felt very bad I did not know anything,I was going to make a plan, the plan was to go in the town at night fall to go farth.As I was running to town I thought about something ,what did I look like, would people in the town question me ,would they ask where I came from, would any of the Gard's from the camp come looking for me.

but my main thought was what did I like!. For a long time I had thought I was Jewish but Johannes had told me I was not.I left my thoughts behind and walk to the town, another thought came in mined ,I had to have a story if any one from the town would ask me where I came from. I would tell them that I was in the circus traveling the world.I arived in the town. No one had noticed me, there where lots of people all talking and laughing, it was vary beautiful to hear the lovely laughfter.

This was my second visit to the town,no one had stop me or even paid attention until I heard a man voice saying "Hi, want one,eh" there was a man holding a loaf of bread I took it as quickly as I could. I thought it was I trap I thought at any moment the man would snatch me but the man did not, he just looked at me and smiled vary stupidly, and then I left as quickly as I could.

I would go to the town ever day until I was standing in the shadows of a store when I head people talking. I was not really lessening until I realised they where talking about me, this is what they said "Who is that boy how comes is town every day for a loaf of bread" " a man's voice said "I don't know how your talking about" the other said "You know the one how comes in town all the time for a loaf of bread The man said again "OH you mean the thin " that man said " YES" " that is the one, he has been coming in town for over a week,he is pretty strange ,he has weird eyes and he likes to stare at the church" the man said "I know maybe we shoud bring him in the next time we see him and ask some questions" " Good Idea.I could not take it any more I had to run now, I had to run as fare as possible.

The escape

Hello my name is David ! I am 12 years old. I'm writing this journal because I want everyone to know what I have been through. I want people to see what I've seen. I want to show people my adventures and my new life.

I was waiting for the signal. As I was doing so I was thinking" why did the man want me to runaway from the camp?The man had told me to climb over the fence, but with all the guards around I would only have half a minute. If I were to succeed, what would it feel like, to never see the man that I hated so much in the world,and if you are wondering why I am not saying his name its because it would fill like giving some respect ,it would be like caring for the man. Would it fill weird not ever seeing the man's small colorless eyes and fat gross face.

If I also succeeded to escape I would runaway until I reached a big tree were a bottle of water and a compass would be there for me.That is what the man said.The man Had told me that the compass would help me to get to Salonica. Where I would hid in a ship that would take me to Denmark, and then from there I would be safe.There was one problem I needed something from the man it was hard asking someone for something when you hated someone so much.I walk up too the man and ask him for a bar of soap there was a minute of pure silence and then the man turned around pick up a piece of soap and wave it to me the only word he said was "Now go".

I new it was in mater of minutes that it would be time to escape.After a couple of minutes I heard the men talking outside and that is when I felt quite empty.I could not move, It Had felt like years that I Had been waiting for this day to come, but know that it was so close I did not know what to Dow and that is when I saw it.The man Had struck the match I was counting sense I only Had half a minute I climb up the barbed wire . I fell to the other site.

The light that was circling the wall were coming now it was over I thought ,but no ,a couple seconds had paste and nothing happened, maybe they would wait until I was farther to shout me ,so I started running but nothing was happening but then I could no logger run if they did see me they would not enjoy it ,because I was not running nor panicking.

I did not know why they where not coming,I walk farther and father until I reached the big tree the man had told me about. I started searching the tree in the dark then I came across a tied up piece of cloth.I looked at the knotted cloth and started undoing it with my clumsy fingers, and then I thought, was it a trap, did the man put a bomb in the cloth., I did not know it would be over soon.I opened the cloth and there was no bomb instead there was a bottle of water a compass, but there was also a box of matches a large loaf of bread and a pocket-knife.So the man really wanted me to escape after all! I started running.I Had been running night and day,and then I came across thorn bushes, the compass was pointing directly at the bushes I did not know lots about compass's but I did not want to take any chance's so I covered my face with my elbows and walked thru the bushes.

I had so many cuts after that I could not count all of them.I was running again , but then I stop again because there was a a farm with sheep.That is when I know there would be food.I waited until day break to go and take some food from where the two men where.I had taken some soup and a piece of bread. I had put the rest of my soup in my bottle for the long jernny ahead .I was running where the compass told me to go, until I heard some voice's witch almost mad me jump out of my skin. I looked closer.There where two men talking, I started lessening to there conversation. The men had a van, Wile I was lessening to there conversation the said something about going to Salonica.The next thing I knew I was in the van hidden in the back where the men could not see me.

The van looked like one of the van's that came to the camp to bring food .In the fan there was plenty of box filled with food.The van had stop,the two men got out of the van and started walking to a near building. I got out, without them seeing me.I found the harbour .I saw a big ship that said Italy on it, I climb aboard without the guard seeing of hearing me.I found a room at the bottom of the ship, it was filled with so many box's I could not fit in.I walk in the room the where so many box's and stuff , and then I found a bottle I did not know what it was but I thought it was drinkable , so I sat my self down and drake it.

I woke up to hear a voice " Mamma Mia , what are you doing here? it was a man with black hair "nothing" I said in Italian. , "Have you been drinking my wine" the man said ,yes I replied tyring not to sound so scared " So where do you think your going" he said
to Italy I said, Well I guess I should bring you to the Captain" the man said I felt so scared It was hard to hide it from the man her looked at me and said " well I don't think I should bring you to the Captain maybe when we get close to port you can jump in the water and swim to shore" I cant swim I replied " Mamma Mia" I will give you a lifebelt then and you can drift to shore! he said.The man went and then came back with the lifebelt.

He told me how to use it and then sent me up and helped me get in the water, the water was not cold to my surprise it was nice , it had been a couple of hours before I arrived at shore when I did arrive the place looked look a mountain side, I did not even look around me fore people I just walk along the mountain.I sad down not able to sleep and that is when I saw it , it was small and beautiful I did not know I was crying until my shirt was getting wetter and wetter with tears, it was a beautiful red flower .Suddenly I felt worm inside as if there was a meaning in life as if there was thru beauty.
